Elizabeth A. Ruiz is the founder of EAR Leadership Academy. She is a strategic communication and leadership researcher, facilitator and speaker. Elizabeth is a certified Everything DiSC Trainer and an authorized partner with The Five Behaviors and Everything DiSC by Wiley. Also, a member of the Forbes Coaches Council where she is a subject matter expert on leadership and coaching writing articles and quoted in Forbes. To date, she is the author of five books including “Leadership Strategies for a Multigenerational Workplace” and “The Women’s Leadership Development Workbook.”
Elizabeth is the president of her local Toastmasters International Club and sits on two board of directors. She is an active member of nine professional organizations where she attends conferences staying abreast of the latest research and findings in her field.
Elizabeth is also a PhD student in organizational leadership at Concordia University Chicago. She holds two master’s degrees, an MBA in management from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and a Master of Science in strategic communication from Columbia University in the City of New York. She also has a Bachelor of Science in psychology with a minor in communication studies, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Houston-Downtown.
In her downtime, she enjoys anything outdoors, hiking, climbing 14ers, water skiing, snow skiing, night bike skiing, flying planes (and jumping out of them), and kayaking.
Elizabeth currently lives in Houston, Texas, with her husband, Kevin. They have five adult children and three grandchildren in their blended family plus four spoiled fur babies.
