Elizabeth A. Ruiz is the founder of EAR Leadership Academy. She is a strategic communication and leadership researcher, facilitator, and speaker. Elizabeth is also a PhD student in organizational leadership at Concordia University Chicago.
She has spent the last three decades creating, starting, managing and leading multiple businesses and is the author of five books: Detox & Cleanse Manual, Global Business & Social Dining Etiquette, Women's Leadership Development Workbook, Leadership Strategies for our Multigenerational Workforce, and her latest book, How to Truly Know Thyself for Effective Leadership.
Elizabeth travels globally speaking and facilitating on strategic communication and leadership topics. She has offices, meeting and training rooms located in Greenway Plaza, Houston, Texas for client off sites.
She holds two master’s degrees, an MBA in management from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and a Master of Science in strategic communication from Columbia University in the City of New York. She also has a Bachelor of Science in psychology with a minor in communication studies, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Houston-Downtown.
In her downtime, she enjoys anything outdoors, hiking, climbing 14ers, water skiing, snow skiing, night bike skiing, flying planes (and jumping out of them), and kayaking.
Elizabeth lives in Houston, Texas, with her husband, Kevin. They have five adult children and three grandchildren in their blended family plus four spoiled fur babies.
